In a recent development, a fire incident has caused damage to part of the Administrative Centre at Speers Point. As a result, the Customer Service Centre for Lake Macquarie City Council has been temporarily shifted to the Speers Point Library, situated opposite the Administration Building.
Operating hours for the relocated Customer Service Centre are from 9am to 4.30pm to assist residents with inquiries and services. Despite the physical relocation, residents can still reach out to the council through the usual communication channels. Whether by phone at 02 4921 0333, email at [email protected], or via web chat, the council remains accessible to address concerns and provide assistance.
For those requiring in-person assistance for building and planning matters, face-to-face duty services will be available at the temporary Customer Service Centre starting from Tuesday, 14 January 2025. To ensure efficient service delivery, appointments with the duty services team must be pre-booked. Contact details for scheduling appointments include calling 02 4921 0333, emailing [email protected], or initiating a web chat conversation.
It is important to note that meetings with duty officers are limited to a maximum of 15 minutes. Enquiries related to planning issues will be entertained on Tuesdays from 9.15am to 4.15pm, while building-related queries will be addressed on Wednesdays during the same hours.
This temporary relocation aims to ensure that residents’ needs are met seamlessly despite the unfortunate incident at the Administrative Centre. Lake Macquarie City Council remains committed to providing essential services and support to the community during this period of transition.
