Three exceptional individuals from NSW Marine Rescue were recently honored in the Rotary community awards. Warren Collins, a dedicated veteran with 16 years of service, was recognized for his leadership, training commitment, and advocacy for women in the service. His exemplary contributions earned him a finalist spot in the 2025 Rotary Districts of NSW Emergency Services Community Awards.
Julie Rostron, the unit commander at Norah Head, was another standout finalist. Leading a team of 40 volunteers, she has demonstrated remarkable leadership qualities since joining in 2016. Additionally, Rachael de Courcy, a volunteer from Terrigal, was named a finalist for the Dorothy Hennessy OAM Emergency Services Youth Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding leadership and dedication to service.
Marine Rescue NSW commissioner, Alex Barrell, expressed pride in the dedication of the service members, highlighting their unwavering commitment to assisting the boating community of NSW.
