A high school teacher from Lake Macquarie is set to stand trial after pleading not guilty to charges of grooming and sexually abusing a teenage boy near Newcastle. Karly Rae faced allegations of aggravated sexual intercourse with a child in late 2024. The accused, Karly Rae, was arrested following an investigation by the Child Abuse Squad in October.
